In einer durchschnittlichen Woche sterben in Oklahoma 9 Babys, bevor sie ihren ersten Geburtstag erreichen. Es ist eine ern\u00fcchternde Statistik, an deren \u00c4nderung die Gesundheitsbeh\u00f6rden der Region jedoch arbeiten. Da das Land diesen September den Monat zur Aufkl\u00e4rung \u00fcber die S\u00e4uglingssterblichkeit begeht, arbeitet das Tulsa Infant Mortality Review Program (TFIMR) daran, sicherzustellen, dass alle Babys in Tulsa diesen Meilenstein erreichen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bei der S\u00e4uglingssterblichkeit liegt Oklahoma mit 8,5 Todesf\u00e4llen pro 1.000 Geburten auf Platz 46, verglichen mit der landesweiten S\u00e4uglingssterblichkeitsrate von 6,7 Todesf\u00e4llen pro 1.000 Geburten. Im Tulsa County sind die Raten sogar noch schlechter, da die Kindermoralrate in Tulsa durchweg \u00fcber der Landesrate liegt. Im Jahr 2007 betrug die S\u00e4uglingssterblichkeitsrate in Tulsa 9,42 pro 1.000 Geburten.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Das TFIMR-Programm untersucht die Todesf\u00e4lle von F\u00f6ten und S\u00e4uglingen in der Gemeinde, um Trends zu erkennen und System\u00e4nderungen umzusetzen, um die S\u00e4uglingssterblichkeitsrate im Tulsa County zu senken. Das TFIMR-Fall\u00fcberpr\u00fcfungsteam \u00fcberpr\u00fcft Arzt- und Krankenhausakten sowie Elterninterviews. Dar\u00fcber hinaus hat das Preconceptual Response Team auch mit dem Community Service Council zusammengearbeitet, um Werbung f\u00fcr Bushaltestellen zu entwickeln, die das Bewusstsein der \u00d6ffentlichkeit f\u00fcr die Bedeutung der Einnahme von Fols\u00e4ure w\u00e4hrend der Schwangerschaft sch\u00e4rfen soll.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Das TFIMR-Programm ist eine Gemeinschaftsinitiative des Tulsa Health Department, des Oklahoma State Department of Health, der Tulsa Healthy Start Initiative und der Family Health Coalition.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201eDas Tulsa Fetal &amp; Infant Mortality Review Project arbeitet eng mit dem Gesundheitsministerium des Bundesstaates Oklahoma und der Kampagne \u201ePreparing for a Lifetime\u201c zusammen, um die Bedeutung von System\u00e4nderungen zur Reduzierung der Kindersterblichkeit durch von der Gemeinde geleitete Ma\u00dfnahmen und Partnerschaft hervorzuheben.
