Las mujeres embarazadas y los beb\u00e9s son una gran parte de nuestra poblaci\u00f3n que puede verse afectada por resultados negativos. Trabajando con programas en toda Tulsa, estudiando datos, brindando recursos y empoderando a los afectados, esperamos reducir las disparidades al centrar nuestra atenci\u00f3n donde m\u00e1s se necesita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El Mes Nacional de Concientizaci\u00f3n sobre el Embarazo y la P\u00e9rdida Infantil, en octubre, es un momento para recordar la conversaci\u00f3n crucial en torno a los afectados. Muchas han experimentado de primera mano las dificultades para defender, educar y empoderar a las madres embarazadas durante una \u00e9poca en la que son m\u00e1s vulnerables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Epidemi\u00f3logo destacado: Raven Helmick, epidemi\u00f3loga de salud maternoinfantil<\/strong><br>\u201cEl parto prematuro causado por preeclampsia, una de las principales causas de mortalidad materna e infantil en el condado de Tulsa, afect\u00f3 la salud de mi madre durante su embarazo. Tanto mi madre como yo tuvimos la suerte de que mi abuela defendiera a mi madre para que buscara y recibiera atenci\u00f3n en el hospital. Su defensa nos salv\u00f3 la vida. Una de mis pasiones es convertir los datos en historias poderosas y acciones comunitarias significativas para poder defender y apoyar a las mujeres embarazadas para ayudarlas a prosperar en el condado de Tulsa. Mi trabajo como epidemi\u00f3loga de salud maternoinfantil es \u00fanico porque no solo apoyo a las madres afectadas por la hepatitis B y la hepatitis C a trav\u00e9s de la educaci\u00f3n y la informaci\u00f3n para prevenir la transmisi\u00f3n perinatal, sino que tambi\u00e9n apoyo nuestro Proyecto de revisi\u00f3n de la mortalidad fetal e infantil de Tulsa para reducir las p\u00e9rdidas infantiles y de mortinatos y nuestro Programa de educaci\u00f3n y responsabilidad personal de THD que empodera a los j\u00f3venes para que tomen decisiones orgullosas y responsables. La salud materna e infantil incorpora muchos aspectos a lo largo de la vida, y la salud de un ni\u00f1o hoy puede afectar la salud de sus futuros hijos. \u201cEs un honor para m\u00ed apoyar tres programas que atienden la salud materna e infantil en m\u00faltiples niveles de prevenci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Programas THD involucrados:<\/strong><br>Nuestro equipo de Epidemiolog\u00eda trabaja con varios programas internos para estudiar datos dentro del condado de Tulsa para abordar las disparidades que son espec\u00edficas del c\u00f3digo postal. El <a href=\"\/es\/programs\/tulsas-fetal-and-infant-mortality\/\">Revisi\u00f3n de la mortalidad fetal e infantil de Tulsa (TFIMR)<\/a> tiene como objetivo reducir las muertes infantiles (espec\u00edficas de un a\u00f1o de edad) y las p\u00e9rdidas por muerte fetal mediante el estudio de estos datos y actuando de manera que proporcione recursos y educaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">THD <a href=\"\/es\/programs\/teen-pregnancy-prevention\/\">Programa de Educaci\u00f3n y Responsabilidad Personal (PREP)<\/a> educa a los estudiantes de secundaria para que sean proactivos en las relaciones, tomen decisiones responsables y defiendan los propios derechos. Nuestro programa PREP tambi\u00e9n recopila datos con nuestro epidemi\u00f3logo de MCH para informar los datos para su posterior revisi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Recursos<\/strong><br>Nuestro equipo de Epidemiolog\u00eda ha desarrollado un <a href=\"https:\/\/tulsa-health.us13.list-manage.com\/subscribe?u=7fbdfd8115258e1e75e689f60&amp;id=e7b915975b\">Bolet\u00edn de Salud Materna e Infantil<\/a> que se publica cada dos meses con recursos para que madres, familias y padres potencien esta posici\u00f3n como padres y\/o tutores.
