La plupart de ces d\u00e9c\u00e8s r\u00e9sultent du syndrome de mort subite du nourrisson (SMSN) et d&#039;autres causes de mort infantile li\u00e9es au sommeil, telles que la suffocation.<\/p>\n<p>Le terme \u00ab SMSN \u00bb peut para\u00eetre effrayant, et la mort d\u2019un b\u00e9b\u00e9 est toujours d\u00e9chirante. Mais il existe plusieurs fa\u00e7ons de r\u00e9duire ce risque tout en prodiguant \u00e0 votre b\u00e9b\u00e9 les meilleurs soins possibles.<\/p>\n<p>Il est important pour tous les soignants, pas seulement pour les parents, de se renseigner sur le SMSN et le sommeil s\u00e9curitaire des b\u00e9b\u00e9s. Les grands-parents, tantes, oncles, baby-sitters, prestataires de services de garde d\u2019enfants et toute autre personne susceptible de s\u2019occuper de b\u00e9b\u00e9s devraient en apprendre davantage. Des actions simples peuvent faire une grande diff\u00e9rence.<\/p>\n<p>Placez toujours les b\u00e9b\u00e9s sur le dos pour dormir pendant les siestes et la nuit. Partagez votre chambre \u2013 pas votre lit. Votre b\u00e9b\u00e9 ne doit pas dormir dans un lit adulte, sur un canap\u00e9 ou sur une chaise seul, avec vous ou avec quelqu&#039;un d&#039;autre.
