{"id":8463,"date":"2013-05-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-05-01T05:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/test.tulsa-health.org\/free-responsible-beverage-service-and-sales-training-may-7\/"},"modified":"2013-05-01T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-05-01T05:00:00","slug":"free-responsible-beverage-service-and-sales-training-may-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tulsa-health.org\/tl\/free-responsible-beverage-service-and-sales-training-may-7\/","title":{"rendered":"Libreng Responsableng Serbisyo ng Inumin at Pagsasanay sa Pagbebenta Mayo 7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TULSA, OK \u2013 [May 1, 2013] \u2013\u00a0The Tulsa Health Department\u2019s Regional Prevention Coordinators (RPC), in partnership with the Oklahoma Prevention Policy Alliance and the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, are hosting a free Responsible Beverage Service and Sales Training (RBSS) for clerks, servers, and managers of local businesses on Tuesday, May 7.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Training will be conducted from 9 a.m. to noon at the Tulsa Health Department\u2019s James O. Goodwin Health Center, 5051 S. 129th E. Ave., in the auditorium room 200. There is no cost to participate for the licensee or employee. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the training is to provide managers, bartenders and waiters who serve or sell alcohol with the knowledge and skills to do so safely, responsibly and legally. This is to ensure that expectations, liabilities and legal responsibilities are communicated to all licensees and their employees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvidence shows that a combination of RBSS training and enforcement can reduce sales to underage persons as well as service to those who are already intoxicated,\u201d said RPC Coordinator Marianne Long. \u00a0\u201cThis training will help develop an atmosphere of responsible hospitality and alcohol sales throughout Tulsa County.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regional Prevention Coordinators is a grant funded program established to reduce the rates for underage drinking, adult binge drinking, and the non-medical use of painkillers within Tulsa County. \u00a0The work of RPC is to focus on population-level change in Tulsa County by assisting communities in determining the substance abuse problems affecting their constituents and the most effective strategies to address these problems.
