Testing Clinic
\nAs of 4:00 p.m. today 192 people have been screened for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV at the Tulsa Health Department\u2019s special testing clinic at the North Regional Health and Wellness Center 5635 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The clinic is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patients are seen on a walk-in basis. Approximately 1,400 people have been screened since the clinic opened on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Most people will be notified of their test results within approximately two weeks of testing. Patients who have given the health department permission to mail negative test results to their home will receive their results in the mail. Anyone who has a positive test result will be contacted personally by a health department representative and counseled about information specific to the disease for which the test was positive. The health department will also begin an individual case investigation in an effort to determine when and how the person became infected. Recommendations for testing of a spouse or partner will be made following the outcome of the case investigation.<\/p>\n

\nA special clinic will be held this Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to\u00a0 1 p.m. at the North Regional Health and Wellness Center.\u00a0

Scott Harrington\u2019s dental practice should contact the hotline918-595-4500 to speak to a public health representative about testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV. English- and Spanish-speaking public health representatives will be available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.<\/p>\n
The hotline has received 233 phone calls as of 4 p.m. The hotline has received 2,702 phone calls since the investigation was announced.<\/p>\n
