Nagbibigay ito sa akin ng malaking pakiramdam ng kasiyahan kapag nakikipag-usap ako sa mga kliyente tungkol sa kanilang mga sakit at binibigyan sila ng mahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa kanilang mga sakit. Bilang isang Epidemiologist, sinisiyasat ko ang mga paglaganap ng sakit at nakikipagtulungan ako sa aking koponan upang mapigil ang sakit upang maprotektahan ang kalusugan ng publiko. Ang lima sa pinakakaraniwang naiulat na mga sakit sa bituka ay ang Salmonellosis, Shigellosis, Shiga toxin-producing E.coli (STEC), Campylobacteriosis, at Cryptosporidiosis.
