Tour de Tulsa Registration Open

TULSA, OK – [April 6, 2022] – After a two-year hiatus, a beloved spring cycling tradition is back on the calendar. Join cycling enthusiasts from across the state and region for the 33rd annual Tour de Tulsa presented by Ascension St. John. on Saturday, May 7 at 8:00 a.m.

This annual go-at-your-pace biking event begins at Dream Keepers Park (formerly Veterans Park), 1875 S Boulder Ave; a new starting location. Cyclists will complete their choice of a 9-mile family ride, 21, 37, 52, 63 or 103-mile routes. More than 70 volunteers will be working rest stops along the routes serving fruit, granola bars, water and Gatorade. Tour de Tulsa is hosted annually by the Tulsa Health Department (THD), the Tulsa Bicycle Club and Pathways to Health as a way to promote health in the community.

“By participating in Tour de Tulsa, cyclists have the opportunity to be active while riding through Tulsa and the surrounding areas and help Pathways to Health raise funds to support health and wellness programs in Tulsa County,” said Dr. Bruce Dart, THD executive director.

Proceeds from Tour de Tulsa benefit Pathways to Health (P2H), which unites more than 90 local agencies, organizations, corporations and health systems to improve health outcomes in Tulsa County. In 2019, this fundraiser ride raised over $36,000 that directly improved the health and wellbeing of Tulsa residents.

“Tour de Tulsa is a Tulsa tradition that’s raised $150,000 for local nonprofits in the last few years,” said Jenna Grant, Pathways to Health manager. “We love funding the practical needs that really help people. Just a few of the programs Tour de Tulsa is funding this year are retinopathy screenings for uninsured people with diabetes, a suicide prevention training with Wounded Warrior Project and bike racks at Tulsa Honor Academy.”

Early bird registration is $45 for those 13 years of age or over and $15 for those 12 and under and ends May 4 or individuals can register the day of event for $60. The Family
