
In advance of Valentine’s Day, the Tulsa Health Department’s substance abuse prevention program and the StopDUI Task Force are encouraging residents who consume alcoholic beverages to do so safely or try a fun mocktail instead.
The StopDUI Task Force joined forces with the THD substance abuse prevention program to host a Valentine’s Day mocktail tutorial on Facebook Live on Friday, February 9. Circus of Love
Ingredients:
- 1 large carbonated beverage
- 1 jar of marshmallow fluff
- 4 glasses
- 1 container of cotton candy
- 1 container of sprinkles
Directions:
- Roll rim of glass in marshmallow.
- Dip rim in sprinkles.
- Pour carbonated beverage ¾ of glass.
- Drop 3-4 handfuls of cotton candy in to glass and stir.
Stop in the Name of Love
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces sparkling hibiscus red grape juice
- 2 ounces lemon-lime soda
- 2 ounces of orange juice
- 1 orange wheel
- 7 – 10 Valentine’s Candy Hearts
- crushed Ice
Directions:
- In a glass, add ice, sparkling hibiscus red grape juice, lemon-lime soda, and orange juice.
- Shake or stir depending on whether you are making the drink in a cocktail shaker or gently stir if you are making the drink directly in individual glasses.
- If you use a cocktail shaker, strain the drink into a chilled glass filled with crushed ice.
- Add several Valentine’s candy hearts.
- Garnish with a single orange wheel.
- Serve.
Kandi-Coated Punch
Ingredients:
- 1 2-liter of Sprite
- 1 Simply Lemonade with Raspberry Juice – 52 fl oz
- 1 Simply Lemonade with Strawberry Juice – 52 fl oz
- 1 Dole 100% Pineapple Juice – 46 fl oz Can
- 1 pack of strawberries
- 1 pack of raspberries
Directions:
- Add in strawberries and raspberries
- Add Sprite
- Add Pineapple juice
- Add 1 Simply Lemonade with Raspberry and Strawberry Juice
- Stir and serve
