The Tulsa Health Department is proud to sponsor the sixth annual Oklahoma Mission of Mercy, a two-day dental clinic for people of all ages. Tulsa will host this year’s event at the Cox Business Center on February 6 and 7. The event space will be transformed into a fully-functional dental facility with around 2,000 volunteer dental and general professionals offering a variety of services including cleanings, fillings, extractions and anterior root canals at no cost to patients.
The Tulsa Health Department will provide immunization services at the event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on February 6, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 7. The following immunizations will be provided (based on availability):
Flu
Pneumonia
Zostavax (Shingles)
Menactra (Meningococcal)
HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
Tdap (for adults)
Vaccines will be available to children who qualify for the Vaccine For Children Program and to Uninsured Adults. We will also be able to offer vaccines to individuals with the following types of insurance: Cigna, Community Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Choice, Medicare or Medicaid for immunizations. There will be no exchange of money for vaccines at this event. Individuals not qualifying to receive vaccines during this event will be referred to one of the Tulsa Health Department locations.
The Tobacco Free Coalition for Tulsa County will also be present at the event to provide tobacco cessation information and “quit kits.”
We have 10 locations across Tulsa County that offer a variety of services to help you and your family stay healthy.
