Tulsa Health Department to Host Educational Gardening Series

Tulsa, Okla. – [February 13, 2026]– The Tulsa Health Department, in collaboration with OSU Master Gardeners, is hosting a free educational gardening series which begins next week.

The Spring Into Growth series is designed to help participants learn how to prepare for the spring planting season. The series consists of four one-hour sessions, held on the third Thursday of each month, from February through May. All sessions take place from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Tulsa Health Department North Regional Health and Wellness Center, 5635 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., with an option to join virtually.

The sessions will cover a variety of topics to support community members in their gardening journey, from the basics to companion planting and other strategies to maximize garden space.  

“We want to make it easy for people in Tulsa County to start their own gardens at home and now is the perfect time to begin preparing for the spring planting season,” said Tulsa Health Department Associate Executive Director Chanteau Orr. “This series offers an excellent opportunity to learn from experts with OSU Master Gardeners.”
