Preparing for the new school year can be hectic, but ensuring your child is up-to-date on their vaccinations should be a top priority. We makes this easier by offering convenient options for getting back-to-school shots. You can schedule an appointment ahead of time to avoid long wait times, or simply walk in if you prefer a more flexible approach.
Walk-In Opportunities
Walk in with no appointment from 8:00 am – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our Central Regional Health Department and North Regional Health & Wellness Center locations.
Extended hours are available in August from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays (Aug 1, 8, 15 and 22) at our Central Regional Health Department location only.

Join us for a Back-to-School Bash
The Tulsa Health Department has partnered with the Be Well Community Development Corporation to host a Back-to-School Bash at our North Regional Health and Wellness Center on August 9th from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m.
There’s still a lot to do this summer without much time left, so we’re here to help. From sports physicals to immunizations to fun activities and food, we have you covered at this free come and go event!

The Oklahoma Caring Van Program delivers immunizations to protect children and adolescents from dangerous illnesses at no cost to their families. The Oklahoma Caring Van Program is uniquely designed to eliminate barriers that commonly prevent children from receiving on-time, age-appropriate immunizations in traditional health care settings. The Caring Vans travel to licensed child care centers, schools and community locations statewide.

Oklahoma Immunization Requirements Guide for 2024-25 School Year
Back-to-school immunizations are available by walk-in basis or appointment. For children’s immunizations, a parent or legal guardian must be present. Please bring a current immunization record and your insurance card.
We ask individuals to arrive as close to their scheduled appointment time as possible. When you arrive at your appointment, you'll be asked to fill out a worksheet with some basic information about the patient. You can fill the form out before you arrive to make your visit faster.
