Mobile Vaccination Clinics

The Oklahoma Caring Van Program delivers immunizations to protect children and adolescents from dangerous illnesses at no cost to their families. The Oklahoma Caring Van Program is uniquely designed to eliminate barriers that commonly prevent children from receiving on-time, age-appropriate immunizations in traditional health care settings. The Caring Vans travel to licensed child care centers, schools and community locations statewide.

Immunizations Needed

Immunizing your infant or child with the current recommended childhood vaccines mobilizes the body's natural defenses against dangerous infectious diseases.

Insurance
THD currently accepts Cigna, Community Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Choice, Medicare and SoonerCare Medicaid for immunizations. Coverage can vary among different insurance plans. Please bring your insurance card and photo ID with you. It is always advisable to check with your insurance provider for coverage specifics before receiving immunizations, as you may be responsible for charges that are not covered by your insurance policy. A fee will be charged for clients with private insurance (other than those listed above) to be immunized at THD clinics in order to cover the cost of the vaccine. Children through age 18 years are eligible to receive vaccines at no charge through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program if any of the following apply: they are uninsured, Native American Indian, Native Alaskan, or their insurance policy does not cover vaccines. Infants, children and adolescents must be accompanied by their parent or guardian to receive immunizations.
What To Expect

Back-to-school immunizations are available by walk-in basis or appointment. For children’s immunizations, a parent or legal guardian must be present. Please bring a current immunization record and your insurance card.

We ask individuals to arrive as close to their scheduled appointment time as possible. When you arrive at your appointment, you'll be asked to fill out a worksheet with some basic information about the patient. You can fill the form out before you arrive to make your visit faster.
