Health Screenings

At Tulsa Health Department (THD), we focus much of our efforts on the prevention of diseases and illnesses.

Prevention

Early detection of chronic diseases can result in earlier treatment and improved health outcomes. Health screenings are available, through the THD Adult Health program, to adults of any age at a minimum cost.

Our Adult Health program offers screenings for the following chronic conditions:

High Blood Pressure/Hypertension
High Cholesterol/Hyperlipidemia
Diabetes
Anemia
Breast Cancer*
Cervical Cancer*

*Breast and cervical cancer screenings fall under Physical Exams, through the THD Adult Health program, and are focused on women of non-childbearing age. Women of childbearing age seeking breast and/or cervical cancer screening are seen through the Family Planning program.
