In addition, the Healthy Start program is committed to improving the father, parent-child relationship through fatherhood engagement. Research shows that when a father is present in the lives of his children, that father, the mother and their children
have a higher quality of life.

THD’s Fatherhood Program Fatherhood Program focuses on supporting and educating fathers through helping to improve the father’s parent-child relationship through fatherhood engagement. Our Fatherhood Coordinator works to equip and empower men to champion their roles as fathers through support, parenting education and other services. Our fathers learn to be more loving, responsible parents and active participants in their children’s lives.

THD’s Fatherhood Program also offers group sessions (Dad 2 Dad) on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month using the 24/7 Dad® curriculum, a voluntary and comprehensive fatherhood program designed to help men improve their parenting skills and fathering knowledge.

THD’s Fatherhood Program works with fathers who reside in Tulsa County ZIP codes: 74011, 74012, 74063, 74106, 74110, 74115, 74116, 74117, 74126, 74127 and 74130 to help them with the following:
